Restorative, Yoga Nidra, Hatha & Shakti
Mel has been teaching yoga since 2013, and aims to bring kindness, humour and humility to her classes and workshops. Mel’s original training was in hatha yoga, and she incorporates postures (asana) with breath awareness and mindfulness influenced meditation. Yoga is a rich philosophy, and Mel aims to share the fullness of the teachings with students.
Mel specialises in teaching restorative yoga, yoga nidra and yoga for women’s wellbeing (Shakti yoga). She believes fully in the healing capacity of yoga, and believes that yoga can be a tool for transformation, starting first with complete self acceptance. In her Shakti classes, Mel invites women to come and explore the power of a gentler, more nurturing practice. In her restorative and yoga nidra classes, Mel shares the power of deep, healing rest for our minds, bodies, and souls.
