For sea and yoga lovers seeking to find some inner calm, this weekend cannot be beaten.

The venue sits on the coast, just behind the Pembrokeshire coast path. From the venue you can walk along the coast in either direction to beaches and rocky inlets, or into St. Davids with its beautiful cathedral, making it the smallest city in the UK. Be sure to bring your bathing suit (or prepare to go wild) as the clear seawaters are sure to tempt you.

This retreat provides periods of silence, and an opportunity to extend the mindfulness practice into daily life.  The simple venue of St. Non’s is the perfect place to reconnect with yourself, expect peace, comfort and simplicity.

The Yoga

Kat’s teaching comes straight from her heart and personal practice. She maintains focus on core integration and alignment stemming from her desire to use yoga as a tool to heal and strengthen the body on both mental and physical plane and many more. In her sessions you can expect to breath, laugh and use your body to its maximum capacity when practicing asana.

Kat’s Hatha Flow teaching incorporates a dynamic flow of physical yoga postures with breath awareness, before slowing down with more static postures, meditation and relaxation. This is suitable for new students to yoga as well as those with more experience.  Kat offers modifications and adjustments where needed so that each student can fully experience the postures being taught and can participate at their own ability.  She encourages students to practice with awareness and within the range of movement available to them to provide a safe, relaxing and inclusive environment.

The yoga schedule is fairly full as we only have 2 days. But it won’t be relentless hard work.  There will be plenty of opportunity for gentle relaxation.

The practice will help you to enjoy a period of being unhurried by external pressures. So that you can slow down and enjoy the simple things- a tasty meal, a beautiful view, a deep breath, moving the body. There are periods of silence to enable this process- with speech comes another process to engage the mind, in its absence there is an opportunity for greater clarity and calm.


The Venue

St Non’s offers a very special opportunity to switch off from busy daily life. Hosted by nuns in a retreat centre, at a location that has been sacred site for centuries, there is an atmosphere of deep calm and contemplation at the venue.

The location is stunning and the property itself is comfortable rather than luxurious. There is a well stocked library, adjoining the large living room with an unending supply of tea! The dining room gives exceptional views to the coast. The yoga space is a simple but light filled room with high windows facing the coast.


The Food

Food is lovingly provided from the chef at the venue and is delicious, vegetarian fare. There are plenty of salads, fruit and tasty, traditional vegetarian food (and plenty of it). We are, unfortunately, not able to cater for many complex food needs on this retreat (please ask if you need to).


St Non’s offers simple single and twin rooms, all with shared bathrooms. They are basic, comfortable, and clean.
