Join Laura Gilmore for a transformational yoga weekend at the stunning 42 Acres retreat centre near Frome. This weekend will take you to the depths of yoga practice, to meet yourself in the depths of winter and to see what we need to hold onto, transform or let go of.
The yoga sessions combine asana, pranayama and bio-energetic practices to enable you to experience the subtle body, where the prana may be restricted or excessive, and to balance the poles of prana from root to crown.
“Laura is such a good teacher! She presented the chakra information clearly (and with humour!) and made it feel very relevant to real-life. She made a complex subject easier to understand.” Becky, November 2015

Nestled in a secluded Somerset valley near Frome, 42 Acres combines exquisite beauty and environmental consciousness, to create a venue that is inspiring like no other. They have used reclaimed materials to outfit the interiors of the property and all of their power is renewable and self generated through biomass and solar.
Within this ethically sound framework, the bedrooms and communal spaces remain modern and stylish – proving that we do not have to compromise on experience or comfort to respectfully co-exist with the nature that surrounds us.
The Yoga classes will take place in the specially built spacious, heated yurt.
The food at 42 Acres is an incredibly special part of what they offer. Everything is hand-made from fresh ingredients in the relaxed, sunny atmosphere of the farm kitchen and their in-house chef draws on a deep practical knowledge of the cleansing properties of raw vegan foods, healing whole foods, and the nourishing properties of Weston Price / Paleo dieting.
‘Nowhere is the interdependence or our physical, mental, emotional and environmental health so clearly demonstrated than in our food. The highest quality food must nourish all of these – and still be deliciously tasty!’
They pride themselves on an integrated and uncompromising food policy: organic ingredients in almost every case; sourcing from world-class local small-scale artisan growers and producers including superb organic (and raw) goat, sheep and cow’s dairy; organic sourdough bakers; chef’s own sauerkraut, ferments and pickles; all oils are cold-pressed and organic; celtic sea salt only; sugar-free kitchen.
The food will be vegetarian, wholesome and nourishing.
