Prepare to say goodbye to 2018 and welcome in 2019 with steadiness and ease in the body, relaxation in the mind, and clear intentions from the heart for the year ahead.

Our theme this year is on san kalpa, meaning our heart-felt desires or resolve from the heart.

San kalpa gives us the opportunity to reflect and consider what really matters to us in this life. It can easy to get caught up in negative thought patterns and beliefs, so by exploring the idea of san kalpa we can open up to the idea that our thoughts really do create our future – and chose to make those thoughts meaningful and compassionate.

We’ll start our day with uplifting yet stabilising asana practice, balancing pranayama, and guided meditation to detox and energise body and mind. Once our energy is able to flow freely through the whole being, we will move into journalling activity, where you will be given questions designed to help you become clearer on what you hope to achieve in 2019 and what you’d like to leave behind.

After being nourished by a healthy and delicious lunch, we will slow down the pace and surrender to our need for deep and nurturing rest during this dark winter, with a restorative yoga and yoga nidra session. These practices reduce stress, boost immunity, and increase compassion, and from this place we will delve into our hopes and dreams, our san kalpas, and begin to create a clear plan for how to move into 2019.

Join us with this ritual to end the year and see the beginning of the next, and start 2019 feeling steady, focused and full of hope. All are welcome, including beginners. Lunch is provided – vegan, gluten-free, warming, and delicious!

Please bring a journal or notebook and a pen as we will using the yoga practice to bring heart and mind together to create meaningful resolutions to take forward in the year ahead.

The day is suitable for all, even if you are completely new to yoga have an injury or chronic condition.  If you are unsure contact us.

The Schedule
10.00 -12.00 Morning meditation, Pranayama and Asana practice
12.00 – 13.00 Lunch – a delicious wholesome meal is included
13.00 – 15.30 Philosophy And a restorative closing practice.

Lunch is provided – warming, vegan, gluten free, organic and delicious!
