At our dedicated Pregnancy Yoga classes you will meet other expectant Mums who you will practice alongside during the course of your pregnancy.

Stay supple during pregnancy. During pregnancy you may notice rapid changes within your body which can leave you in discomfort, increased lower back pain and restricted breath can cause sleepless nights and stress. We use Yoga to improve pelvic floor, core and and other muscle groups which will help you when it matters the most on the day.

Yoga prevents and remedies common problems such as backache and restricted breath. Pregnancy Yoga is a safe way to continue to exercise and maintain good fitness during your pregnancy. The practices allow the body to open gently, to release physical tension and to work through emotional fears in preparation for birth. Our aim is to ensure the labour is as comfortable as it can be so we provide specific relaxation techniques designed to help open the body.

Through Pregnancy Yoga, you will become more in tune with your own body and breath, and learn how to use these skills towards a positive & empowering birth experience.

During class you will only work according to your own energy levels, and will be supported by our experienced teachers:

  • Gladey Phuntsok who is an experienced pre and post natal yoga teacher and also a mum.
  • Ali Woozley a midwife, mum and experienced yoga teacher.

“It was a very special time for us and we genuinely left feeling closer as a couple and more prepared for the arrival of our son. Ali is a lovely person and a fantastic teacher and the experience was so wonderfully personal.”
Lucy

[/cs_text][cs_text]For new Yogis, we’d love to see you at Pregnancy Yoga classes after week 14 of pregnancy, once you have overcome the more tiring part of the first trimester.

For regular Yogis, if you just can’t wait, then Pregnancy Yoga is the best class to come to during your first trimester. After 14 weeks, you can combine Pregnancy Yoga class with non-Pregnancy Yoga classes with the teachers listed below, but ensure you tell the instructor you are pregnant at the start of the class so they can adapt the postures specifically for you.

Teachers qualified to teach Pregnant students who have an existing Yoga practice:

Please only attend non-Pregnancy Yoga classes after 14 weeks, and if you had an established Yoga practice before you became pregnant.

If you are unsure which class to attend please contact us.[/cs_text][/cs_column][/cs_row][/cs_section][cs_section parallax=”false” style=”margin: 0px;padding: 0px;”][cs_row inner_container=”true” marginless_columns=”false” style=”margin: 0px auto;padding: 0px;”][cs_column fade=”false” fade_animation=”in” fade_animation_offset=”45px” fade_duration=”750″ type=”1/1″ style=”padding: 0px;”][cs_text style=”margin-bottom: 20px;padding: 10px 15px 0px 15px;border: 1px solid #999;”]Further information on Pregnancy Yoga:

“Both I and my tiny 6 week old son had become stressed- he wasn’t sleeping well either in the day or in the night and I felt desperate. During our first class Laura showed me some methods to hold him and by focusing on relaxing myself through breathing and gentle movement the whole vicious cycle shifted. By the end of class he was fast asleep and both I and my son were transformed!”
